Project
Engineer Mechanical
Job
Description
Mechanical Engineering position for an experienced product
design engineer who will work as a project team leader
on the design and development of state-of-the-art electromechanical
equipment for medical products, instrumentation, and
process machinery. In this position, the engineer will
be responsible for the creation of electromechanical
products and specially designed machinery planning and
executing of projects from definition through release
to client manufacturing startup. Must be able to work
with clients with a minimal amount of managerial supervision.
Prefer experience in electromechanical products, automated
machinery or robotic systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum
of 10 years of engineering design involvement with supervisory
or project lead experience required. Must be proficient
in designing using SolidWorks or Unigraphics NX. Knowledge
of Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD or Inventor is desirable.
The ability to work in a product development environment
coupled with superior communication skills are essential.

Electromechanical
Designer
Job
Description
Silicon Valley Instruments, LLC is a Morgan Hill, California
Engineering Development Firm specializing in design
and manufacture of biotech equipment, instrumentation,
electro-mechanical products and custom machinery. We
have an opening for experienced electro-mechanical designer
who will work as a member of project teams working on
the development of state-of-the-art equipment.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design and CAD experience
is required.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for the creation of CAD layouts
and detail drawings for biotech products, robotic systems
and custom designed machines. Must be able to work with
a minimal amount of supervision. In this position, the
designer will be involved in the creation of layouts
and detail drawings for the fabrication of sheet metal,
castings, plastic injection molded, and machined parts.
Skills
The desire to work in a consulting environment coupled
with superior CAD and communication skills. Will manage
bill of materials, generate assembly drawings and the
release of parts for prototype systems. Must be a proficient
hands on user of CAD programs one or more CAD programs
such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Pro-E, SolidWorks, or Unigraphics.
Our primary software is SolidWorks 2006.
