Product Development
Many medical and
bioscience companies, as well as businesses in other
industries, offer consumable products that rely on third
party equipment for their effective utilization in the
market place. A razor blade needs a razor, An ink cartridge
needs a printer, A hospital diagnostic kit needs a laboratory
instrument. Many companies do not have the extra resources
available and find it prudent to stay within their core
technology. SVI’s ability to design and build
specialty equipment solves the resource problem facing
these companies.

Product Design
Silicon Valley Instruments (SVI) uses
techniques and procedures developed over the years to
make design process manageable. We guide you through
the following Ten Steps of the Product Development:
Product Definition, Concept, Initial Development, Breadboards,
Final Development, Detail Drawings, Prototype, Documentation,
Preproduction and Product Introduction.

Industrial Design
SVI conceptualizes via sketches and
models to bring a product idea into focus and give them
a solid engineering definition. Our Industrial Designers
can assist your company with marketing and funding by
providing stunning conceptual drawings and models that
illustrate your new products as they approach realization.
After developing a solid understanding, renderings and
3D solid models are used to communicate the design intent
and facilitate the evolution of the project.

Engineering Analysis
We provide first principle analyses using Mathcad,
Mathmatica, and other tools that quickly determine the
significant parameters that need to be investigated
using FEA software. For our Finite Element Analysis
work we use Design Star, ANSYS Multiphysics and Cosmos/Works
for integration with Solidworks.
